The two performances we have coming up are as follows: (We will be singing the same 3 songs at each performance)
Ole le loila
Wishing well
Lay my burden down
1st performance St Michael's Church Sunday 22 April 2018 at St Michaels Church, Bugle St, Southampton SO14 2AD.
1pm for rehearsal
Concert starts at 3pm.
This concert is being arranged by Nia Collins of Soton Voce and will feature Blue Sky (daytime and evening choirs) Salty Sea dogs, Soton Voce and possibly some other performers. Because of the intricacies of merging the 2 Blue Sky choirs together I am encouraging participants to come to each other's rehearsals if possible in the run up to the performances ie , Wednesday mornings 1030 - 1230 at Freemantle United Reformed Church , 257 Shirley Road, Shirley or Thursdays 1930 - 2130 at St Marks Church in Archers Road . I am trying to arrange with St Michael's that we can have a rehearsal there on Wednesday 18 April 1030 - 1230 but this has not been agreed yet. We can invite people and I believe it is free with donations requested towards the church fund

For this festival each participant is asked to pay £3 and there is a workshop which is £2 which I believe is on voice care for singers. The Salty Sea dogs will also be performing within the same time slot of 1030 - 1200 .We can invite people and I think it costs about £3/£4 for audience members. It is an all day event but people are free to leave after their slots although it is nice to support other choirs. (Several of our members are performing in The Conchord Singers later in the afternoon)

Sponsorship We are very excited to announce that we now have a sponsor, Make it Magic! (was Shirley Market). They will support us and cover the costs of a stage, which we are incredibly grateful for! No festival is complete without a stage to showcase our wonderful local talents on. Sharing details of the event We would be incredibly grateful if you could spread the word about the Festival, and to all who might be interested, that we have got spaces for further stalls and performances. If you could hang the poster at work, that be wonderful too. I will attach the poster and here are the Facebook details and booking form: St. James' Park Summer Festival
